Maya and Theo

Here are my two new OCs Maya and Theo! I have to thank for helping me bring these two to life.

Anyways, these two are based on a story ark I have in mind for them. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth, but not with your typical constant poor fighting the rich. Actually, a LOT of things happened causing economies and societies to restart all over after so many years of wasted opportunities to establish better balance for all, regardless of nationality, race, religion or any other thing that would make us label people "different".

Basically it's a story of the world after it's colossal breakdown, but instead of never-ending wars, it's a story of society SMARTING UP and rebuilding their homes, businesses and lives from scratch. Wars stopped and politics broke completely apart, rendering them dead for the time being. NOW it was all a fight, NOT for money or power, but for survival in collaboration.

Now, as for our main characters:

Theo is a young outcast from a mountain village that was heavily affected by the apocalypse. Since he was a child, he was an orphan left all alone in the streets with only such minimum wage to fend for his life. He grew from shy, heartbroken and insecure to a stoic, cynical loner, consumed with pride to keep a proper image of himself among others. This made him somewhat rebellious to some still-intact authorities lingering keen eyes on him. But deep down, VERY deep down, he has a keen mind and open heart to share with those he manages to bond with on his long journey.

Maya is a young girl whom was rendered a statue 1,000 years ago after she had defied the royal order of the ancient civilization she originates from. However, unlike the cynical Theo, she is somewhat timid, but very kind-hearted and open to discover and try the new things around her. Despite this however, even if she may seem sweet and harmless, deep down she is a fighter who will rise to the ocation when things look grim or when Theo is unable to chip in. Another thing is, Theo was the one who freed Maya from her stone prison by cracking the spell encoded in the ancient language it was written on. Since then, she and Theo became very close and dear friends... a little snappy towards each other at times, but deep down, they both share feelings for one another, they just lack the guts to spill the beans!

And that's all there is to these two cuties. For now, they are just together enjoying the serene underwater ambience surrounding them, while Theo plays his special guitar down there, captivating the hearing of the fish around them.
